In the movie Casino Royale set in Montenegro (but filmed in the Czech Republic), James Bond is issued a left-hand drive 2006 Aston Martin DBS which has registration plate TT 378-20.
At the time of filming Casino Royale, in the first half of 2006, Aston Martin was still completing development of their new DBS, so the cars they supplied to the production company were from their prototype workshop. These two prototype DBSs were used for close-ups and regular driving scenes. Later, Aston Martin prepared three former development DB9s as DBS-look-a-likes for the movie's stunt scenes.

In the movie Quantum Of Solace, partly set and filmed in Italy, James Bond is again driving a left-hand drive Aston Martin DBS, a 2008 model with registration plate 72 GH3LD.
A total of ten DBSs were used during the filming of Quantum Of Solace to portray the Bond car. Four of the cars supplied by Aston Martin, chassis numbers E00038 to E00041, were for the stunt scenes, and a further six cars, chassis numbers E00042 to E00047, were supplied for close-ups and promotional work.
